Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Grand (“Grand,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website or join our waitlist. Grand is currently a pre‑launch product; today this website exists to describe what we’re building and to let interested people sign up to be early Grand testers.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you give us. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. If you choose to answer our optional follow‑up questions, we also collect your full name, ZIP code, your reason for being interested in Grand, whether the person Grand is for lives alone, and whether you’d like to hear about our alpha tester program.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, referring page, and how you interact with our site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand site usage and to measure advertising. See “Advertising and conversion tracking” below.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Add you to the waitlist and notify you as Grand nears launch;
  • Understand who Grand is for and decide where to launch first;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website;
  • Measure and improve our marketing, including understanding which advertisements led people to sign up; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Advertising and conversion tracking

We advertise Grand on third‑party platforms, and we use their advertising tools — including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the Reddit Pixel — to measure how well those advertisements work.

When you sign up for the waitlist, we treat that sign‑up as a conversion event and share it with our advertising partners. In practice this means that the fact that a click on an ad (or a visit to our site) resulted in a waitlist sign‑up is passed back to platforms such as Meta and Reddit, along with technical identifiers those platforms use to attribute the conversion. This lets us see which campaigns drive sign‑ups, avoid wasting spend, and reach more people who are likely to be interested in Grand.

These advertising partners may combine the information they receive with data they already hold about you, and may use it to build audiences and personalize the ads you see. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. You can learn about and control this tracking through Meta’s Privacy Policy and Reddit’s Privacy Policy, as well as through the cookie and ad‑personalization settings in your browser and on those platforms.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only:

  • With service providers who help us run the waitlist and our website (for example, hosting and form‑processing services), under obligations to protect it;
  • With advertising and analytics partners as described in “Advertising and conversion tracking” above;
  • For legal reasons, such as to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Grand and others; and
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, financing, or acquisition, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy.

Your choices and rights

  • Email. You can ask us to stop emailing you, or to remove you from the waitlist, at any time — just contact us using the details below.
  • Cookies and ad tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and opt out of interest‑based advertising through your platform and browser settings.
  • Access and deletion. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of the sharing described above. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Data retention

We keep waitlist information for as long as needed to notify you about Grand and for our legitimate business purposes, and then delete or anonymize it. If you ask us to remove you, we will delete your information except where we are required to keep it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page. As Grand moves from a waitlist toward a live product and service, we expect to publish a more detailed policy covering how the Grand hub, sensors, and app handle information.
